DAN Dives Into Regional Dive Shows

DAN ProMembers and Instructors, need some time to refresh your classroom skills? For those times you aren’t diving, here’s a good way to stay in the scuba environment – and brush up on some facts that can help bring in more students when you start up your diving season for the year.

Get a jump on spring by taking these DAN courses at these upcoming dive shows: Beneath the Sea, SeaSpace and OceanFest.

THE COURSES
Instructor Trainer Update 2007

The update for DAN Instructor Trainers informs you about the most recent program changes in DAN Training as well as new opportunities for you. Cost is $50 and includes materials. This is required for any Trainer who did not complete the 2006 Update. The update is free to any trainer who did.

Instructor Update 2007
This free update for all DAN Instructors will tell you the latest developments in DAN Training and what you can expect in the future. This is required for any instructor who did not complete the 2006 Update.

Diving First Aid for Professional Divers
The DAN Diving First Aid for Professional Divers course includes training specifically designed for divers who dive as part of their job duties. Students for this course must have an affiliation with an aquarium, commercial diving company, public safety dive team or scientific diving operation.

The program includes the three required elements of the DEMP course (Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries, AEDs for Scuba Diving and First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries), along with workplace CPR and first aid, based on guidelines provided by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration on what that organization.

THE SHOW VENUES
DAN Training will offer workshops at these shows.

Beneath the Sea – March 23-25, in Secaucus, N.J.
SeaSpace – March 31-April 1, in Houston, Texas.
OceanFest – April 20–22, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
